Website Terms of Use
Version v1.4 · Effective date: 2026-10-25
1. Scope and operator
These terms govern use of startuparchbook.com, the Book Vault, related digital resources, and orders placed directly with Blake Publishing, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). Our Privacy Notice explains information practices. If a third-party retailer sells you a book, that retailer handles its sale under its own order terms; your use of our Site and Vault remains subject to these terms.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Use the Site lawfully and give accurate account and order information. A Vault account is intended for adults; if you are under the age of majority where you live, obtain a parent’s or guardian’s permission before ordering or using an account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Sign-in links are personal, expire, and must not be forwarded. Use Account Settings to update your name, saved address and telephone. Changing the login email requires your current password and verification of the new address; a notice is sent to the previous address. Purchases and entitlements remain attached to the same account. Contact us promptly about suspected unauthorized access. We may impose reasonable request limits and suspend an account for security or material misuse.
3. Book I activation and access levels
The Book I QR route allows a reader who purchased or received Book I to attest honestly to that fact and activate the designated Book I Standard resources. We do not currently verify a receipt for that activation. A QR address or general account does not unlock every resource, book, or future offering. Do not make a false attestation or activate access for another person without authority. The offer shown when you activate determines the included resource level and any stated duration; no paid one-year term should be inferred from free Book I Standard activation.
4. Orders, pricing, and payment
The product page and final order screen will identify what you are buying, the price and currency, applicable taxes, shipping charges, any access duration, and the total before you place an order. We may correct a genuine pricing or availability error before accepting an order and will notify you and refund any charge if we cannot fulfill an accepted order. An automated acknowledgment means we received your request; acceptance occurs when we send an order confirmation or provide the purchased product or access, whichever happens first. Payment will be handled by the payment provider identified at checkout under its applicable terms. We will not ask you to send card details by email. The checkout must state accepted methods and when payment is charged.
5. Direct book orders, downloads, fulfillment, and support
For orders placed through our Book Vault order form and the linked Square checkout, Blake Publishing, LLC is the seller. Printed Book I editions are offered for delivery to United States addresses with a a flat shipping charge per physical-book order when displayed on the Book Vault order summary, not per copy. The amount may be $0.00. The EPUB edition has no shipping charge. Applicable tax and the final payment amount are displayed at Square checkout. Select the same edition, quantity and shipping destination as your saved Book Vault order. Contact us before paying if the information or charges do not agree. Each website order currently covers one edition and one complete shipment.
We independently verify completed Square payments before granting digital access or preparing physical fulfillment. A return to our website is an acknowledgment, not payment verification. New direct physical-book orders are available only to the extent copies are in our saleable inventory. We may use a third-party fulfillment service for existing accepted orders or make separate arrangements with you. We aim to process orders promptly; no guaranteed shipping or delivery date is made by a general acknowledgment. If shipment is delayed, we will provide the notices, choices, and refunds required by applicable law. An IngramSpark order reference or a shipping label is not confirmation that a package has been dispatched.
After verified payment, an EPUB purchaser may download the complete Book I EPUB from the purchaser’s private account and keep it for use with a compatible reader. This purchase is separate from a one-year Advanced Vault subscription and has no subscription expiration or download-count limit. The purchased EPUB includes Book I Standard Vault privileges, not Advanced Vault access or future books. No proprietary reader or digital-rights-management software is required. Copyright and the applicable license remain with the rights holder; downloading does not authorize redistribution or transfer copyright.
Your account displays your order history and recorded fulfillment status. Order-specific contact and shipping information is saved separately from your editable profile. A later profile change does not redirect an existing shipment. Contact contact@startuparchbook.com with your order number for an address correction, cancellation request, return, damaged or missing shipment, download issue, or refund question. Contact us before sending back a book so we can provide return instructions. A refund or chargeback may end website download entitlement associated with that purchase; the website cannot erase a copy already downloaded. Nothing here limits remedies required by applicable law.
For books purchased from Amazon or another independent retailer, that retailer processes its own sale and handles delivery, returns, exchanges and refunds under its terms. We do not process that retailer’s transactions.
6. One-year digital subscriptions
A paid one-year Book Vault subscription grants the specific resource tier shown on the order screen for 12 months from successful activation, ending at the stated expiration date. The order confirmation will show the tier, start date, end date, price, and how to obtain support. A subscription does not transfer to another person or include future products unless the offer expressly says so. Access ends at expiration unless you make a new purchase. There are no automatic renewals and no recurring charges. If automatic renewal is ever offered, we will present its price, frequency, renewal and cancellation terms and obtain separate authorization before charging; these terms and the checkout must be revised first. Once a digital subscription is paid for, there are no cancellations or refunds, subject to applicable law. Account closure does not itself afford or guarantee a refund.
7. Training & Certification purchases and refunds
Training & Certification purchases are final. After we accept an order and verify payment, we do not provide voluntary cancellations or refunds because a participant does not enroll, a company’s plans change, or some or all purchased seats go unused. This applies to individual purchases and multi-seat packages, including packages where one or more seats have been used. This policy does not limit remedies required by applicable law. If we cannot provide the course or the number of seats purchased, we will provide the remedy required by law.
8. Digital resource license
During your authorized access period, we grant you a personal, limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to view and download resources assigned to your tier and adapt templates for your own internal work. You may not redistribute the original templates or resource library, share an account, sell or sublicense resources, post them publicly, remove rights notices, or circumvent access controls. A downloaded file remains subject to these license limits after online access ends. The books, Site, and resources remain our or our licensors’ intellectual property.
9. Communications and electronic records
By using an account or placing an order, you agree to receive operational messages at the email address you provide, including sign-in links, security alerts, order receipts, subscription dates, service notices, and responses to your inquiries. Keep your email address current. You can separately choose whether to receive promotional updates; declining marketing does not stop necessary account or transaction messages. We will provide applicable marketing opt-out instructions. You may save or print these terms, the Privacy Notice, and order confirmations. Contact us at the address below to request a copy or discuss communication access.
10. Appropriate use and third parties
Do not probe security, scrape or bulk extract content, introduce malicious code, interfere with service, impersonate someone, infringe rights, or bypass access rules. We may use hosting, delivery, email, and payment providers and link to independent websites. Their separate services may have their own terms. We may remove unlawful material, restrict misuse, or protect the service, with notice when reasonably practical.
11. Educational purpose
The books and Vault resources are educational and illustrative. They are not individualized legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, or other professional advice and do not create a professional-client relationship. Review examples against your facts and consult qualified advisers for consequential decisions.
12. No legal advice; counsel review required
The forms, templates, and educational materials provided on this website are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute formal legal, financial, or professional advice. Your use of this website does not create an attorney-client relationship. Laws vary by jurisdiction and change frequently. The downloaded forms should be reviewed and tailored by appropriate legal counsel in your jurisdiction to ensure compliance with local laws and suitability for your intended business purposes.
13. Availability, changes, and termination
We may maintain, correct, or update the Site and resources. We will use reasonable efforts to provide paid access for its stated term and address material service failures through support and any remedies required by law. We may suspend or end access for material breach, fraud, security threats, or legal necessity. We will not retroactively shorten a paid term merely by changing these terms. You may ask to close your account; applicable order records may remain as explained in the Privacy Notice.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the website or downloaded forms. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these terms shall be strictly limited to the greater of: (a) the total amount paid by you to us for the template or service giving rise to the liability, or (b) $100.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the website, services, and all downloadable forms, educational materials, and content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We explicitly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or that the forms or materials will meet your specific business, legal, or regulatory requirements.
16. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any non-waivable statutory consumer rights, remedies, or guarantees available to you under applicable law.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
This Agreement, and any dispute arising out of or related to it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under this Agreement must be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, or the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
18. Contact and updates
We will post a new effective date for changes and give reasonable notice of material changes to existing accounts; where required, we will seek renewed consent. The version accepted during account activation or checkout should be recorded. Questions, support, order issues, and legal notices: contact@startuparchbook.com; P.O.
